Mark Starnes - Account Manager in GA
Mark is a Georgia native raised in Middle Georgia. He attended University of Georgia on an athletic scholarship as a Student Trainer for men’s athletics, serving his last two years as Head Student Trainer.
Following his graduation in 1987 with a degree in Microbiology, Mark began his employment as an account manager with then Georgia Valve & Fitting, Co. The account mix included universities’ research departments, R&D facilities, and pharmaceutical accounts in the Metro Atlanta and Northeast Georgia area. Throughout his career with Swagelok, Mark performed additional roles serving as the Bio-Pharm Product Specialist and Hose Product Specialist targeting clients in these markets throughout the distributorship later known as Swagelok Georgia | Jacksonville | South Carolina.
Mark cites his enjoyment in helping customers solve problems, quality products, a sound organization, and a pleasant working environment are all keys to his longevity with the Swagelok organization.
Mark and his wife, Michele, have two daughters and are active with the local chapter of JDRF in Milton GA. When not selling Swagelok, Mark enjoys golf, gardening, cooking and spending time with his wife and two girls.
