Vice President, Information Technology

As vice president, information technology, Matt Speece and his team serve as strategic partners to the business with a focus on enabling business outcomes, implementing the company’s long-term digital roadmap, and delivering value-added technology solutions.

Matt joined Swagelok Company in 2009 as an engineer in the career development program. He held increasing leadership roles within the company’s operations and commercial functions, including positions as director, manufacturing strategies, and director, valve services group (VSG), before joining the executive team as vice president, sales support in 2023. During his time leading sales support, Matt crafted and led various strategies aimed at bringing corporate resources and knowledge closer to the customer and creating a globally consistent, locally relevant solutions-based customer experience with corporately-owned and independent sales and service centers.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Matt also serves on the board of directors for The Gathering Place, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families in Northeast Ohio affected by cancer.

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from Case Western Reserve University.
